In early 2020, Chico City Council finalized a plan to hold district elections beginning this November. This change created 7 districts within the City of Chico. Each district will be represented by one member of council who resides in their respective district. In 2020, candidates from Districts 1,3,5, and 7 are on the ballot for voters registered in those districts. I am running to be your representative for District One in 2020.
District One is my home. I moved to Chico in the summer before 4th grade. My first "home" in Chico was the now demolished Rio Lindo Motel. Before school started, we moved to W. Shasta Avenue where I promptly started my career on a bicycle, delivering newspapers in that neighborhood and attending Shasta Elementary School. In high school, I worked at the Jack in the Box on East and Esplanade. Since then I've gone on to earn a BA in Sociology from Chico State and an MA in Adult Education.
Our district is special to me. I am a single father raising two incredible daughters here. As your representative, I will always keep our best interests at heart. I am thrilled for the opportunity to represent you and our district on the Chico City Council. Please vote this November!
We have a lot to be proud of in district one. From iconic Chico businesses like Basque Norte and Chico Sports Club to beautiful parks like Degarmo and Peterson, our little slice of Chico has a lot to offer. As a long-time resident of this district, I look forward to representing you.
